SUSTAINABILITY

KEEP MOTHER NATURE SEXY

We are dedicated to leaving a positive impact on local waterways and giving back to the water that gives us adventure, cleanses our souls, and gives us life.  We're unendingly grateful for the gifts of Mother Earth and what better way to express gratitude than to give back.

This year we have a few different sustainability initiatives and they're still growing so tay tuned.

2025

600 POUNDS

40 bags of trash cleaned out of the amphitheater under the Walking Bridge at Ross's Landing and from Maclellan Island our River Games athletes and volunteers.

2024

850 POUNDS

Over 2000 pounds of trash cleaned out of a local quarry and downtown Riverfront by YOU, our River Games athletes and volunteers.

Let's keep it going!

COMPOSTING IS COOL

We're super excited to be able to offer full service recycling and composting this year through New Terra.  Yay for reducing the landfill crisis in Tennessee!  (Great video to learn more here.)

If you're interested in joining the green team to help reduce trash pile up and monitor the compost bins, we would love your help.  Stay tuned for more information to help out!

Sustainability pro tips

We all do our part to leave Planet Earth better than you found it.  We'd love if you'd join and do your part.

  • Bring a reusable water bottle- we'll have refillable water stations

  • Bike to the event!  Riverfront Parkway from Aquarium Way to W.M.L.K Blvd will be closed on Saturday so bike on in!

  • All of the food trucks on site are using compostable service ware.  Make sure to put your waste in the correct receptacle.
